At BWJ, we strive to deliver the highest quality product to our customers. Over the last year we have put together a plan to modernize each department, bringing in the latest equipment, software, technology and techniques to continue delivering the highest quality product available. We are excited to share what we have been working on!
XPS Crystal
Combining high resolution fiber laser imaging from the CDI with the patented back and front UV LED exposure from the XPS Crystal is producing digital flexo plates with unique reproducibility and quality.
The Esko XPS Crystal 5080 produces the perfect plate for all the flexo print applications that require high print output and stability on press.
Additional CDI and Software Upgrades
We are adding a second CDI Spark 4260 (digital plate maker) to our production line and upgrading the software on our original CDI Spark 5080 to be able to produce the highest quality plates possible.
Along with the new equipment, we are installing HD Flexo, Pixel +, and Print Control Wizard software by Esko to enhance our printing plate capabilities.
Asahi Water Wash Processor
Our new water wash processor allows us to manufacture plates for the flexible packaging industry using a cleaner, more environmentally friendly process.
Epson SureColor P9000 Printer
The Epson SureColor printer allows us to make true color proofs up to 44" wide. This will allow customers to see exactly what will be produced, true to color. In addition, this printer will reproduce true screens and halftone images.
GlobalMax 1508 Waterjet
The GlobalMax 1508 waterjet will be utilized primarily for our cutting die rubber so that you will get the best ejection possible from your die.
